My honeybees have been helping out at View of Heaven Farm for as long as the farmhave been growing things there. They fly daily across Yellow Schoolhouse Road to visit the mountain mint, hyssop, vegetables, and herbs, joining the native bees and butterflies to pollinate all the crops - and then return to their hives with ample pollen and nectar. It delights me to no end to find them diligently working the oregano, clover and mountain mint!

It also brings me great joy to officially join the bees and the VoHF team in their daily work at the farm, where I now serve as Farm Manager. I'll be working with the team to oversee seeding, planting, weeding, watering, harvesting and market prep, among other things.
I'm a mom of three budding naturalists and have taught thousands of students about environmental stewardship, whether that be related to gardening, sustainable agriculture, native plants and habitat, trees, healthy soils, watersheds, climate change, renewable energy, or dark skies and astronomy. I truly look forward to working alongside the exceptional VOH team to grow wonderful things in a sustainable way, share our produce and knowledge with the W. Loudoun community, and have some fun while doing so.
With gratitude and appreciation,

not because she labors,
but because she labors for others."
