International Volunteer Day is held each year in early December. Here at the farm, we had our friends from ATPCO come do volunteer work in the barn to put together 105 toiletry bags for our friends at Loudoun Hunger Relief.
The toiletry bags will provide men, women and children who are supported by Loudoun Hunger Relief with much needed items such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and first aid kits, among several other personal care items. This effort is part of ATPCO’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to worthy causes in the communities where they live and work.
The farm team had a grand time helping to prepare the barn space for our visitors, rolling up their sleeves and assisting with the packing of bags and loading completed bags for transport to the food pantry. In the words of Loudoun Hunger Relief, “When our community takes care of our most vulnerable members, everyone wins.” We wholeheartedly agree!
With gratitude and appreciation,
