Here at View of Heaven, we have many wonderful partners to share our slice of Heaven... or Almost Heaven. One of our wonderful partners are our lovely team members from MOST, a MAKOM program.
MOST operates a program for young adults in Loudoun County. The program is designed for people with moderate disabilities who are training in workplace skills. Their customized program guides participants through the unfamiliar waters to help them take on the world as their best selves. Here at VoHF, we have a team of three participants that arrive every Thursday morning, willing and ready to work. Our participants elect their workplace site and they all choose to come to "Heaven" because they love it here and feel at home and ready to work and learn. Our participants arrive with a supervisor and are immediately part of our VoHF family.
They each play an important role in our bakery, and bake and package our cookies. They also work with our herbs. Here, at VoHF, our MOST program participants have taught us that hard work, and dedication yield productivity. But, most of all, they continue to teach us that, no matter what our ability may be, each one of our participants contributes to our VoHF mission and plays an important role in our farm. We are thankful for all our partners, but especially grateful for our MOST program participants because to choose to come to Heaven, and pour so much love and enthusiasm at our bakery.
